Terms of Service

Welcome to OLGA. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the OLGA web application, website, and SMS messaging services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Miami Ress ("we", "us", "OLGA").

By creating a household, joining a household, or texting OLGA's phone number, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What OLGA is

OLGA is an AI grocery shopping assistant. It parses grocery receipts you submit, generates dashboards of your spending and frequent items, compares prices against third-party retail services, flags products matched against public recall databases, and sends transactional messages summarizing this information.

2. What OLGA is NOT

• OLGA is not a substitute for official product-recall sources (FDA, USDA-FSIS, CPSC). Recall matching is best-effort and based on brand-name fuzzy match; it does not include lot-level precision unless UPC scanning is added in a future version.
• OLGA is not a financial advisor. Savings estimates are informational only.
• OLGA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer (Publix, Winn-Dixie, Aldi, Walmart, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Sedano's, Presidente, Fresco y Más, Costco, BJ's, Sam's Club, or any other store). Store names and styled logos shown in OLGA are used for identification purposes only.
• OLGA is not a tool for purchasing groceries. It compares prices; it does not transact.

3. Your responsibilities

• You will provide accurate information when creating a household or opting into SMS.
• You will not use OLGA to upload receipts that are not yours without permission from the receipt's owner.
• You will not abuse the SMS service (mass-forwarding, automated submissions, etc.).
• You will respect other household members' shared data. If you remove someone from your household, their previously-uploaded receipts remain in the household.

4. Price comparison disclaimer

Comparison prices shown in OLGA are sourced from third-party services (Instacart, Shipt, retailer online stores, Amazon Fresh, etc.) and may differ from in-store prices. Promotional prices, store loyalty discounts, BOGO offers, and regional variations are not always reflected. Always verify the current in-store price before making purchase decisions based on OLGA's recommendations.

5. Recall information disclaimer

Recall alerts are generated by matching items on your receipts against public feeds from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS), and Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). OLGA's match logic is brand-name fuzzy match, not lot-level UPC verification, and may produce false positives or miss recalls. For any actual concern about a recalled product, consult the official agency source directly at fda.gov, fsis.usda.gov, or cpsc.gov.

6. SMS messaging terms

By opting into OLGA's SMS service (via the chat widget on our website), you consent to receive transactional messages from Miami Ress (OLGA). Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply, as charged by your wireless carrier. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for support.

7. Intellectual property

The OLGA name, brand mark, dashboard design, recommendation engine logic, and software code are the property of Miami Ress. You may not copy, resell, or sublicense the Service without written permission.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Florida law:

• Miami Ress is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of OLGA.
• Miami Ress's total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is limited to $0 (the Service is provided free of charge in beta).
• Miami Ress is not responsible for purchases you make, recalls you may miss, or savings you fail to capture based on OLGA's recommendations.

9. Termination

You may stop using OLGA at any time by resetting the app on your device or by emailing miamiress@gmail.com to request account deletion. We reserve the right to suspend access for users who violate these Terms or abuse the Service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as OLGA evolves. The "Effective date" reflects the most recent version. Continued use after a material change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
