Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Miami Ress ("we", "us", or "OLGA") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the OLGA application, website at findolga.com, and any related SMS messaging services.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly

Household name and member names — when you create or join an OLGA household.
Phone number — only if you opt into the OLGA chat widget on our website. Phone numbers are used solely for transactional SMS messaging related to your OLGA account.
Grocery receipt data — when you upload a receipt photo or paste parsed receipt JSON, we store the structured data extracted (store name, date, items, prices, totals). We do not retain the original receipt images.
Free-text inquiries — anything you type into the chat widget.

Information collected automatically

Local storage — In v0.5 (beta), your household data lives in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly opt in via the chat widget.
Standard web logs — our hosting provider (Netlify) and CRM (GoHighLevel) may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and timestamps for security and operational purposes.

2. How we use your information

To parse your grocery receipts and generate dashboards, frequent-item insights, savings comparisons, and recall alerts.
To send transactional SMS messages you've opted into — including parsed receipt summaries, recall alerts, weekly savings digests, and customer-support replies.
To improve OLGA's recommendation engine using aggregated and anonymized patterns. We do not sell or share individual-level grocery data with third parties.
To respond to your inquiries submitted via the chat widget.

3. SMS messaging — opt-in and opt-out

By submitting your phone number through the OLGA chat widget, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Miami Ress (OLGA) at the number provided. Message frequency varies based on your activity (receipt uploads, recall events, weekly digests). Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out at any time: reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation message and no further texts unless you opt back in by replying START.

4. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers required to operate OLGA:

Netlify — hosts the OLGA website.
GoHighLevel — CRM and SMS infrastructure (powered by Twilio for telephony).
Anthropic (Claude API) — vision-based receipt parsing (when v0.6 launches; v0.5 uses client-side paste-back).

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share grocery-level data with retailers, CPG brands, or advertisers.

5. Data retention and your rights

You can wipe all OLGA data on your device at any time via Settings → "Reset OLGA on this device."
To request deletion of any server-side data (phone number, contact record) collected through the chat widget, email miamiress@gmail.com with subject "Delete my OLGA data." We will confirm deletion within 30 days.
You may request a copy of the data we hold about you at the same email address.

6. Children's privacy

OLGA is intended for adults (18+) responsible for household grocery shopping. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Disclaimers about content

Price comparisons are sourced from third-party services (Instacart, Shipt, retailer online prices) and may differ from in-store prices. Always verify before purchase.
Recall alerts are sourced from public FDA, USDA-FSIS, and CPSC feeds. OLGA complements but does not replace official agency channels. For any actual recall concern, consult the official source.
Store names and logos shown in OLGA are styled type approximations for identification purposes only. OLGA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as OLGA evolves (v0.6, v0.7, etc.). The "Effective date" at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced via in-app banner or SMS to opted-in users.
